Interesting and significant updates. We have added the next feature (in experimental status) that allows you to build logic and sell credits. Users can use these credits to download files that cost a certain amount of credits.

Instead of Credits, you can use any name: carrots, gems, coins, etc.

Also, stabilized secure downloads and secure external links, where the redirection URL couldn't work in 100% of cases. Improved the author hiding feature, which can conflict with plugins like SEOPress and Yoast, and could cause critical errors.

What's new:

New feature: Author hiding

It's a great setting if you don't need to show your profile publicly and want to prevent any scraping of your user base. Sometimes, unexpected guests might gain access to the list of usernames or emails by visiting yourwebsite.com/author/username. If you don't implement the logic for displaying authors and their posts, it's better to enable this setting.

Example: If this setting is enabled and you try to visit the author page, you will be redirected to the homepage. It's a great additional security feature.

Improved: Download Restrictions

Fixed: extra permission for admin role

For Download Restrictions, the ability to reset the counter based on page load has been added. Previously, it was only possible to reset either from the admin panel or after the download initiation, which could create a situation where the user got stuck if the developer decided to disable the download buttons upon reaching the limit.

For Role manager, it added additional logic to prevent the case where the administrator can obtain another role via the link. It was fixed to ensure that the administrator permissions are not lost by accident. Previously, it was implemented that no user role could become the administrator via the User Role Change link.
